The castle of Sablé

It is just above the port and in front of the park. We can, thanks to the park, (to which it gave its name), to contemplate it happily. During the last “July 14”, the fire of artifice illuminated it and it was splendid. Inside, people renovate very old books so that nobody can damage them anymore. Each year there are an “opened door”, other times it is impossible to enter there.
The port of Sablé

Of course we can see boats, barges there and full of other boats. There is a lock. Lately one emptied the Sarthe (our river) to clean it, because much people had deposited garbages there (like a drum of washing machine). It is the children who practise canoe kayak who cleaned it. Last year, the fireworks were held just above it and it was reflected in water, it was really very beautiful.
The monument for dead people
There is a monument for soldiers dead during the wars in front of the church of Sablé. There are several 
ceremonies in front of it during the year.There is also a monument in the cemetery of Gastines (in front of it we have the ceremony of 11 november and 8 may).
The museum
We have a museum in Sablé ! It's for the first man in France who succeded to fly : He jump from the castle, flied on the Sarthe and landed on the port... and was alive !
The museum is in one of the oldest houses and oldest street of Sablé.
